Electrical Engineer II

Job description

Key job responsibilities - Working with an interdisciplinary team to execute product designs from concept to production including design, prototyping, validation, testing and certification - Supporting a technical team on multiple projects in parallel - Coordinate all activities within the engineering discipline for the project. - Ensure coordination with other disciplines is effective for each project.

Amazon is seeking a talented and motivated Electrical Engineer to work on system design, implementation and release to manufacturing.

Job requirements

  • Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures
  • BS degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
  • Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production
  • Experience testing hardware/mechanical sub-components, research and data analysis skills, and/or Printed Circuit Board (PCB) layout best practices
  • Experience with general troubleshooting/debugging of hardware, or experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
  • Experience with DFx (Design for cost, test, manufacturing)
  • 5+ years of hardware engineering experience
  • Expert in schematic entry, layout tools and design for manufacturability (familiarity with OrCAD Capture and Cadence Allegro tool flow is a plus)
