Engineer II – Piping System Design

Job responsibilities

• Technical ownership of fluid subsystems.
• Perform fluid sizing analysis for complex pressurized piping systems.
• Select components and generate specifications.
• Work with internal and external production organizations to resolve challenges encountered during manufacturing or procurement of fluid system components.
• Work with operations team to fabricate, install, activate, and operate fluid systems.
• Ensure operations and maintenance activities are conducted consistently with design intent and defined requirements.
• Work directly with Supply Chain to ensure cost and schedule effective sourcing.

Job requirements

• Minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Chemical, Nuclear, or related discipline).
• 2+ years of professional experience within a similar sector (aerospace, petrochemical, power, etc).
• Demonstrated experience in design and development of pressurized piping system architectures.
• Strong technical fundamentals.
• Experience in performing fluid system sizing calculations, layout, component and material selection.
• Familiarity with ASME B31.3 and similar consensus codes.
• Experience generating plumbing and instrumentation documents (P&IDs).
• Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to our inclusive culture.
