Financial Analyst II, Electromagnetic Warfare

Job description

This role is at the Financial Analyst II level. Supporting the Electromagnetic Warfare business line, you will own program/project financial management and IRAD financial management, along with P&L forecasting, across a portfolio of contracts and internally funded development efforts. Partnering closely with program management and business line leadership, you will explain financial performance and variance analysis to cross-functional teams and senior leadership. You will participate in month-end close activities and work closely with accounting and other functional teams across the organization.

Job responsibilities

  • Own rolling monthly forecasts, working closely with key engineering stakeholders (Product, Program, and Engineering Leads).
  • Work with PMs to develop and maintain EAC forecasts and ETC integrity.
  • Analyze and monitor contract profit margins.
  • Support P&L forecasting by contract and business line.
  • Own IRAD financial management, including budget tracking and reporting on internally funded development programs.
  • Deliver monthly internal management reporting through presentations and written communications.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual variance analysis.
  • Support month-end close activities in partnership with accounting and other functional teams.

Job requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience as a financial analyst or in a related finance/accounting role.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Working knowledge of BAC, EAC, and ETC management.
  • Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal communication, and presentation skills.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible to apply for and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
  • DoD, manufacturing, and/or tech industry experience.
