Job responsibilities

• As a Flight Test Engineer under minimal supervision, you will determine and develop various approaches to achieve T&E goals for a Small UAS/Quadcopter and help guide and perform the completion of test activities.
• This position will focus heavily on new sUAS/Quadcopter aircraft development, with an emphasis in electronics, avionics, propulsion, flight characteristics, rugged design, and quality at scale.

Job requirements

• 3+ years sUAS flight test engineering experience and a bachelor's degree or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution.
• Previous expertise and working knowledge of the National Airspace System and UAS operating rules and regulations thereof.
• Previous experience in working with energetics, explosive hazard handling and operation procedures, and Electronic Safe-Arming Device (ESAD) are preferred.
• Must have a complete understanding of and passion for SUAS/Quadcopter engineering concepts, principles, codes, and theory; experience demonstrating a broad application of those concepts;
• Must possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly; apply them accurately; organize, schedule, and coordinate work phases;
• Strong software and documentation experience.
• Must have strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; able to perform complex tasks in one or more engineering areas.
