Job description

Key job responsibilities - Guiding the design of controls for robotics and industrial automation equipment for use in a functionally safe product. - Performing hazard and risk assessments, and safety analyses of robotics and industrial automation equipment - Writing or reviewing safety requirement specifications, safety management plans, safety concepts, and verification and validation plans. - Applying IEC industrial standards for the development lifecycle of a robotic control system, and coaching developers on processes to apply during this phase.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience with complex electromechanical systems
  • Experience with safety programs from concept through certification/regulatory process
  • Demonstrated strong ability to move seamlessly between levels of abstraction – from system to the “nuts and bolts” implementation.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a regulated industry (Functional Safety, Military, Medical, Automotive, Robotics) applying standards to design and work products.
  • Experience programmatically testing products, measuring test coverage, developing the best automation, driving testability and diagnostic
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Experience understanding needs of business and end customers and translating them into right solutions
