Head of Mission Readiness, Altius 700

Job description

We are looking for a Head of Mission Readiness for Altius 700, based in Costa Mesa. Altius is Anduril's launched-effects platform, deployable from ground, air, or sea to conduct ISR and targeting, kinetic engagement, RF decoy, SIGINT, comms relay, and cyber warfare missions. The 700 variant is early-stage and fast-moving, currently ramping through production and flight test.

You will be building, not maintaining. This is the earliest seat we have. Altius 700 has no established sustainment program to build from, and the technical baseline is still changing underneath you. Your job is to stand sustainment up anyway, while the product matures, and own the revenue and margin that comes with it.

Job responsibilities

  • Direct all Mission Readiness and Integrated Product Support activities across your business line, including execution, process, best practices, technical oversight, and budget.
  • Own O&S revenue and business line O&S margin.
  • Build service offerings that grow revenue, and cut fielding and sustainment cost to raise margin.
  • Partner directly with sourcing, quality, and flight test so sustainment planning keeps pace with an actively evolving technical baseline.
  • Build training and field support materials ahead of first fielded units reaching operators, since Altius 700 has no established sustainment program to build from.
  • Make sure products are mission ready: feed design-for-sustainment requirements into Engineering, and shape sustainment solutions per product, customer, and CONOP with Growth.
  • Keep products mission ready: hire, develop, and train a cross-functional execution team, and drive the Quality, Engineering, and Mission Readiness field-feedback root cause and corrective action loop.
  • Turn unstructured problems into structured, repeatable frameworks, at pace. Implement the logistics systems, standards, and data that make operations measurable and decisions evidence-based.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in DoD/government logistics or progressively complex program administration experience, including leadership roles in operations, manufacturing engineering, or supply chain.
  • Demonstrates technical expertise and application of logistics management principles, concepts, and practice as well as leadership skills including organizing, planning, scheduling, and coordinating workloads to meet…
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
  • Ability to travel as needed for the business.
  • Ability to be local or relocate to Costa Mesa, CA.
  • Expertise in regulatory requirements as it relates to the DoD or government logistics, preferably related to aircraft
  • Experience working with, in, and around Air Force or other military branch Integrated Logistics operations.
