Job description

Job responsibilities
- Design and implement secure cloud infrastructure using Microsoft 365, Azure, and AWS to support defense technology platforms and mission-critical operations
- Partner with the Security Lead on SIEM operations, NIST 800-171 compliance evidence, and security tooling integration — implementing the IT-side controls and log/data pipelines that Security relies on
- Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting solutions to ensure system health, visibility, and rapid response to outages and performance issues
- Manage system patching and updates using endpoint and infrastructure management tools, ensuring systems remain secure and up to date
- Proactively monitor infrastructure and services, responding to alerts and performance degradation to maintain high availability and reliability
- Provide advanced L3/L4 technical support for bare metal servers, Linux environments, and mission-critical infrastructure
- Administer and support SQL Server environments, including performance tuning, maintenance plans, and access management
- Develop and maintain automated backup solutions, including incremental snapshots and retention policies across cloud and on-premise systems
