Lead Technician, Omen

Job description

ABOUT THE TEAM Anduril is seeking a Lead Technician to join the Omen Team within Maneuver Dominance. Omen is Anduril’s hover-to-cruise autonomous air vehicle (AAV) that packs the endurance, payload, and mission flexibility of much larger airplanes into a novel runway-independent Group 3 platform. Omen can operate from ship decks, beaches, or remote island clearings, providing true runway independence and freedom of maneuver across defense and civilian domains. Omen is the first tail-sitter aircraft with a mass-production contract, with an order of 50 systems representing a decisive investment that anchors production and accelerates the development of future systems.

Job requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working in a manufacturing setting (aerospace, electronics, or medical industry is preferred) performing mechanical and/or electrical assemblies
  • Proficient with common hand tools and power tools such as pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, depth micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, pressure gauges, multimeters, test boxes or specialized test equipment
  • Proficient with computer use (standard browser, word processing applications)
  • Able to read a wiring diagrams and follow assembly instructions
  • Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment
  • Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) with engineering and production
  • Ability to effectively prioritize self and team member activities to achieve production goal
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities
