Job description

Job responsibilities
- Lead the manufacturing development of processes and tooling requirements for building / constructing Autonomous Surface Vehicles (ASVs).
- Collaborate with other engineers to ensure tooling and processes add efficiency gains while meeting product specifications.
- Operate as liaison between engineering, quality, and production to resolve challenges that arise during design and construction.
- Participate in design reviews and brainstorming sessions for vessel construction and processes.
- Support documentation, technical writing, and preparation of reports for internal use, regulatory bodies, and client presentations.
- Onboard new automated manufacturing assets, collaborating with software and production engineering to drive improvements in software products that support production processes.
- Driving manufacturing process improvements across all areas and functions of our operational system.
- Identify and resolve emerging needs on the manufacturing floor.
Job requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong communication skills across engineers, technicians, quality teams, and leadership.
- Comfortable working in a combined indoor/outdoor industrial shipyard environment.
- Will be required to work aloft (on scaffold or on manlifts) and in confined spaces occasionally.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- May require travel to suppliers and other manufacturing sites.
- Follow all shipyard safety policies, including proper use of PPE, fire prevention, and confined space protocols.
