Materials & Processing Engineer III
Job description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Materials & Processes Engineer, advising on Materials & Processes (M&P) requirements for spacecraft environments, selecting and certifying spaceflight hardware for properties like flammability and corrosion, and ensuring compliance through testing and documentation reviews. It requires expertise in metallic and nonmetallic materials, preparation of technical reports, and M&P documentation such as certifications and test plans, and participation in project milestone reviews.
Job requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field, with 4–9 years of experience; or
- Master’s Degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field, with 2–7 years of experience; or
- Ph.D. in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field, with 1–5 years of experience in materials and processes engineering; or
- An equivalent combination of education and experience.
