Mission Software Engineer, EW

Job description

Anduril's Electronic Warfare (EW) division builds next-generation electronic warfare platforms — hardware-enabled, software-defined systems that are fielded, in production, and scaling from hundreds to thousands of units. The EW team operates at a tempo the defense industry isn't used to: delivering novel system configurations into active operations in days, not months, and iterating based on direct operator feedback from the field. We are building a new Mission Software Engineering (MSE) team to own the full software lifecycle for EW products — from development and integration through deployment, sustainment, and customer success.

Job responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain mission-critical software across the EW product stack
  • Build and improve deployment tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and configuration management systems
  • Integrate EW systems with the broader Anduril Lattice ecosystem
  • Debug and resolve issues in production and field-deployed systems
  • Develop operator-facing tools and interfaces that make complex systems usable in high-stakes environments
  • Work with embedded software and DSP engineers to bridge the gap between algorithm development and field-deployable software
  • Participate in field deployments, integration events, and customer engagements
  • Contribute to a culture of engineering quality through code review, testing, and documentation

Job requirements

  • 1–4 years of professional software engineering experience (or equivalent: strong internships, open source contributions, research)
  • Proficiency in at least one of: Haskell, Rust, C++, Go, or TypeScript
  • Comfort working in Linux environments
  • Strong CS fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, systems concepts
  • Desire to learn new domains quickly — you'll pick up RF, EW, and defense-specific concepts on the job
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, unstructured environment where priorities shift based on mission needs
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret SCI security clearance
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%
