The ONE Edge team delivers software-defined, automated, and scalable edge network infrastructure that improves the reliability of Amazon's global fulfillment and operations network. As a Network Development Engineer II on the Edge team, you will design and implement scalable, resilient edge network architecture. You will lead initiatives that improve network capacity, availability, and security, working with modern SD-WAN and cloud networking technologies.

Job requirements

  • 1+ years of automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell and/or Perl experience
  • 4+ years experience in a network focused hands-on technical role working with IP routing protocols/technologies and platforms in large scale data center and/or WAN network environments
  • 4+ years experience developing engineering, deployment, or operations mechanisms to support IP network and/or networking systems
  • Thorough understanding of TCP/IP networking, IP routing, Server Load Balancing, and Network Security architecture and core technologies such as IP, TCP, OSPF/IS-IS, BGP, MPLS, Server Load Balancers, Firewalls, ACLs,…
  • Experience with one or more of the following routers, server load balancer, and firewall vendor platforms: Cisco, Juniper, Alcatel-Lucent, Arista, Brocade, Extreme, Citrix, F5, Fortinet, Palo Alto, etc.
