Job description

Founded in 2021, Muon Space is an end-to-end Space Systems Provider that designs, builds, and operates LEO satellite constellations delivering mission-critical data. Our revolutionary, integrated technology stack enables customers to optimize every dimension of their missions for faster time-to-orbit and superior constellation remote sensing performance. Our state-of-the-art facility in the heart of Silicon Valley is optimized for manufacturing spacecraft and rapid, flexible payload integration at scale. From climate monitoring to national security, Muon Space is dedicated to delivering Earth Intelligence for a safer and more resilient world.

Our mission embraces the entire planet and we…

Job responsibilities

  • Area execution Own the backlog, PRDs, and release planning for your product area; keep requirements, acceptance criteria, and open questions clear enough that engineering can execute without ambiguity.
  • Partner with engineering leads on scoping, sequencing, and trade-offs within each release; help the team make good calls on what to cut, defer, or simplify.
  • Track delivery, surface risks early, and keep stakeholders informed with crisp written updates.
  • Contribute to the roadmap for your area under the direction of the responsible senior PM or the VP of Product, bringing data, customer input, and your own point of view.
  • Discovery & customer understanding Run customer and user interviews (external customers, internal mission teams, partners), synthesize what you hear, and turn it into concrete requirements and prioritization input.
  • Instrument your product, track usage and performance, and use evidence rather than opinion when making the case for what to build next.
  • Follow won/lost deals and customer escalations relevant to your area; feed structured observations back to the product and engineering teams.
  • Productization support Contribute to productization decisions in your area — capability packaging, tiering, SLAs, documentation, deprecation — in partnership with the senior PM who owns the broader area.

Job requirements

  • 3–5 years of Product Management experience shipping technical products — ideally spanning software, hardware, or data systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate customer and user needs into clear requirements and acceptance criteria, and to drive them through to release.
  • Strong written communication: PRDs, decision memos, release notes, and status updates that are clear enough to act on.
  • Comfort working closely with engineers on technical trade-offs; able to read enough of a design doc or an API spec to ask the right questions.
  • Strong execution instincts: can run a backlog, keep a release on track, and know when to escalate.
  • Curiosity and willingness to grow inside a deep-tech domain; receptive to feedback and coaching from more senior PMs.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related technical field.
  • Exposure to remote sensing, geospatial, Earth observation, or adjacent deep-tech data domains.
