The Amazon Robotics Autonomous Mobility software team develops the autonomy software that powers Proteus, Amazon’s first fully autonomous warehouse robot. We are looking for an enthusiastic Software Development Engineer to join our perception, localization, and machine learning team. You will be part of an exceptional group of collaborative engineers building the platform and architecture for our onboard mapping, perception, motion planning and control software. Job requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • Experience with AWS or other cloud services.
  • Knowledge of distributed computing environments
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • Hands-on experience with robotic systems.
  • Experience with robotic sensor modalities, obstacle avoidance, and localization systems.
