Security Intern- Summer 2027
Job description
Stratolaunch accelerates the development of next-generation aerospace and defense technologies through reusable hypersonic flight testing. Our autonomous, air-launched Talon-A vehicles provide access to operationally realistic flight environments at speeds exceeding Mach 5, delivering critical data that helps customers validate system performance and advance technologies toward deployment. Our team brings together expertise in engineering, manufacturing, and flight operations to solve complex challenges and advance capabilities essential to national security.
As a Security Intern, you will be a member of the security team, working in the Security Department.
Job responsibilities
- Facility Security Support- assist FSO with maintaining compliance with government regulations such as 32 CFR 117 (NISPOM)
- Visitor & Personnel Control- assist badging, escort vendors, process incoming/outgoing visits & new employee on-boarding.
- Classified Material Handling- assist with tracking, auditing, and dispatching classified documents, mail packages, and contract inventory.
- Training & Briefings: assist with preparing security awareness training, briefings and compliance assessments.
- Administrative Operations- assist with maintaining calendars, schedule meetings for classified/unclassified conference rooms and update security documentation.
- Demonstrate honesty, responsibility, integrity, and fulfillment of commitments.
Job requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Ability to obtain and maintain active U.S. Secret clearance
- Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Business Management, Criminal Justice or other security relevant program
- Strong Organizational Skills
- Keen attention to detail
- Competent user of Microsoft Office applications
- Understanding of physical and operational security basics
- Sophomore, Junior, or Senior going to graduate school, working on a security relevant degree.
