Along with managing compilation of our financial statements, looking after our cash and overseeing compliance, we partner closely with the business in overseeing company-wide resource allocation, developing cutting-edge compensation initiatives, and generating detailed financial analysis to drive the business forward. Job responsibilities

  • Manage the Ops financial processes in partnership with Ops, Product, Data Science, and Accounting teams; track variances and drivers of variances in actual spend vs. forecasts
  • Partner on long term strategic investments and optimization analytics; turn data into insight as a strategic advisor to the Ops team, providing financial rigor for long term Waymo Ops strategy and supporting the…
  • Drive strategic action; lead business reviews on gaps between forecast and actual spend, driving accountability and ownership on closing gaps
  • Collaborate deeply as you embed with Ops, Product, and Data Science teams to ensure our growth and forecast models are rigorous and accurate

Job requirements

  • 7 - 10 years’ experience in Financial Planning & Analytics, Go-To-Market Finance, Commercial Finance, and/or Strategic Finance
  • Exceptional financial modeling skills with the ability to build complex, driver-based models from scratch and a strong familiarity with financial statements
  • Strategic and critical mindset: The ability to think multiple steps ahead regarding the commercial implications of marketing and product decisions
  • Data-driven storytelling: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven track record of influencing controversial decision-making through objective analysis
  • High agency: Ability to prioritize assignments, navigate ambiguity, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
  • BS/BA/MBA in Finance, Economics or a related quantitative field
