Job responsibilities

• Equipment Design: You will apply your experience in manufacturing design to develop new equipment and develop upgrades/improvements to current equipment, specifically with ergonomics, reliability, and Production scale…
• Complete Knowledge and Understanding of Equipment Documentation and Processes : You should demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and understanding of equipment documentation and processes.
• Test Equipment: You will provide test equipment solutions that prioritize throughput, ergonomics, and repeatability.
• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: You should be capable of assessing unusual circumstances using sophisticated analytical techniques.
• Creativity and Innovation: You should be able to resolve a wide range of issues creatively, suggesting variations in approach when necessary.
• Non-conforming equipment : You will support the Production line by determining the root cause of equipment non-conformances

Job requirements

• BS in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical) with 5+ years’ experience or MS with 3+ years in mechanical design and/or manufacturing
• Experience leading and supporting equipment projects in a medical device manufacturing or capital equipment manufacturing environment in a similarly regulated industry
• Ability to rapid prototype and iterate on equipment designs quickly
• Experience with 3D printing
• Strong understanding of equipment design intent and design requirements
• Strong abilities in mechanical drawings and 3D modeling
• Understanding of electrical principles
• Understanding of hand tools used for assembling fixtures
