Job responsibilities

• Own the full manufacturing value chain for a product, from prototype through high volume, including mechanical fabrication and avionics.
• Drive DFM and DFX upstream into the design, changing the design itself and not just the process.
• Innovate tool design and selection, and create and optimize high-rate production lines.
• Own the build-documentation system (MBOMs, work instructions, and requirements) and the quality programs for your area.
• Lead root-cause on systemic issues and own continuous-improvement metrics across cost, quality, and capacity.
• Build vendor partnerships and travel for sourcing and on-site issue resolution.
• Mentor junior ME staff and set the technical standard for the team.
• Operate with incomplete or still-evolving design inputs: ask the right questions, work from first principles, and create structure where none yet exists.

Job requirements

• 8+ years in manufacturing or design of electromechanical hardware.
• Degree in a technical field preferred, or equivalent hands-on manufacturing experience.
• Deep DFM, tooling, and NPI ownership; you have taken a product or line from development to rate production.
• Demonstrated delivery in resource-constrained, high-ambiguity environments.
• A world-class quality and mission mindset, and flexibility for critical pushes.
• U.S. Citizen. Willing to relocate to Ohio (Arsenal-1) after the 3-month Costa Mesa training.
• Aircraft, aerospace, and defense program experience, or high-rate experience in an adjacent industry.
• Experience building or transforming production organizations and leading change.
