Job description

This is a hands-on mechanical design role with technical leadership scope. You will design test fixtures and methods yourself, as well as work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to define, scope, architect, and execute testing. You will work with minimal direction on programs while partnering with product development engineers to build test strategy and requirements.

Key job responsibilities - Own the test strategy for product lines: work with development teams to define what needs to be tested, why, and at what cadence. - Take tests and fixtures from concept through result, designing the mechanical hardware and converting data into recommendations that improve product design.

Job requirements

Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures
Bachelor's degree in robotics, mechanical/mechatronics engineering, systems engineering or related field
Experience communicating technical concepts to a non-technical audience
7+ years of experience in test fixture or new product development.
Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production
Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
Knowledge of SolidWorks simulation or Ansys Finite Element analysis tools
Experience with robotics work cells and their control systems, or experience in the mechanical or controls field
