Sr. Power Electronics Engineer, Prime Air Electric Propulsion Subsystem

Job description

We are seeking a Sr. Power Electronics Engineer to join our Electric Propulsion Subsystem team. In this role, you will be a significant and autonomous contributor, solving difficult hardware engineering problems related to high-power electronics systems. You will design, develop, and validate power electronics boards from concept through production, working on 10KW+ high-voltage DC systems that push the boundaries of performance, reliability, and efficiency.

This position requires an engineer who demonstrates strong technical depth in power electronics while also exhibiting the system-level thinking and influence characteristic of our most impactful contributors.

Job requirements

Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production
7+ years of hands-on experience with multi-layer power electronics PCB layout and design.
7+ years of experience working on high-voltage DC power systems rated at 10KW or above.
Demonstrated experience developing power electronics boards from concept through production.
Proficiency with power electronics design tools (e.g., Altium, OrCAD, ECAD tools, MATLAB/Simulink for power system modeling).
Master's degree or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Experience leading vendor engagements and manufacturing partner discussions for power electronics assemblies.
Familiarity with thermal simulation, power integrity analysis, and high-voltage creepage/clearance design rules.
