Job responsibilities
- Select, design, and integrate industrial robot and cobot applications for manufacturing automation, from initial concept through full production deployment
- Develop, optimize, and debug robot programs, including motion planning, safety configurations, and vision-based guidance
- Specify, select, and integrate EOAT, including grippers, sensors, and custom tooling
- Design and manage robot cell layouts, including safety enclosures, work envelopes, and necessary infrastructure
- Implement and verify safety functions (STO, SLS, etc.) in accordance with relevant safety standards
- Develop and execute simulation models to validate robot reach, cycle time, and potential collisions before physical implementation
- Select and configure the robot for application specific software, hardware, and peripheral equipment
- Develop and enforce internal standards for robotic system design, programming, safety, and integration
Job requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field
- 12+ years of hands-on experience in robotics and automation within a manufacturing production environment
- Expert in programming and commissioning robots / cobots from FANUC and UR
- Proficiency in utilizing robot simulation software (e.g., FANUC ROBOGUIDE, UR Virtual Controller, Visual Components)
- Strong theoretical and practical understanding of robot kinematics, dynamics, motion control, and advanced path planning techniques
- Proficient in the configuration, tuning, and troubleshooting of robot drives, servo motors, and associated motion control systems
- In-depth knowledge of industrial safety standards (e.g., ISO 10218, RIA R15.06) and the implementation of safety functions like STO, SLS, SS1, etc.
- Proven experience in EOAT selection, design, integration, and troubleshooting, including pneumatic, electric, and vacuum grippers
