Job description

Job responsibilities

• Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC) — guidance algorithms, state estimation, trajectory planning, feedback control, and autonomy for unmanned platforms
• Flight & autonomy software — real-time software, flight control systems, autonomy stacks, and algorithms for next-generation vehicles
• Embedded software — low-level firmware, device drivers, hardware interfaces, and real-time systems running on embedded platforms
• Simulation & modeling — high-fidelity simulations, digital twins, hardware-in-the-loop testing, and tools for developing and validating autonomous systems
• Perception & sensor fusion — processing data from cameras, IMUs, GPS, radar, and other sensors to enable reliable navigation and situational awareness
• Testing & validation — software-in-the-loop, hardware-in-the-loop, automated testing, flight testing, and analyzing system performance under demanding conditions
• Systems integration — integrating software across flight computers, embedded hardware, sensors, actuators, and autonomous platforms
• Engineering tools & infrastructure — developer tools, simulation infrastructure, data pipelines, telemetry, CI/CD, and software that accelerates engineering velocity

Job requirements

• Enrollment in a BS, MS, or PhD program in software engineering or a related engineering discipline
• Intellectual curiosity and the drive to own problems end-to-end
• Genuine interest in defense technology, national security, or the future of autonomous systems
• Ability to complete in an in-person 12-week internship in one of our offices in summer 2027
• Available to work extended hours and weekends as needed
