Job responsibilities
- Work with engineering, product management, sales, and finance to ensure project plans for each initiative are sound and optimized.
- Manage scope, schedule and budget for strategic engineering projects and initiatives managed within the Technical Project Management Office (PMO).
- Facilitate cross-functional meetings and regularly communicate initiative status to teams, senior management, and customers.
- Representing Symbotic to our customers as the project lead, ensuring clear communication, effective negotiation, and resolution of any roadblocks to success.
- Lead integrated planning across engineering development, long-lead procurement, site preparation, installation, commissioning, and operational readiness.
- Coordinate construction partners, engineering consultants, equipment suppliers, customers, and internal teams to manage site interfaces and deployment dependencies.
- Establish and manage site-readiness, commissioning, acceptance, and operational-handoff requirements for complex automation deployments.
- Manage customer and stakeholder expectations through clear communication, alignment, and proactive issue resolution.
Job requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of related work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Program Management position.
- Experience delivering complex automation programs that include both new-product development and customer-site implementation.
- Experience managing construction, facility, infrastructure, or site-readiness dependencies associated with industrial automation deployments.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams with shared resources, aggressive schedules, and evolving requirements.
- Experience planning system integration, verification, commissioning, operational-readiness, and acceptance activities.
- BS in Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or related discipline.
- Extensive experience in a central role in a highly integrated electro-mechanical systems, mechatronics, or robotics product development team.
