Wireless Network Development Engineer , ONE-NAT

Job description

Join Amazon's Network Access Technology team and build automation that keeps the world's largest enterprise wireless network running smoothly and healing itself. You'll design and deploy next-generation access infrastructure across thousands of global sites, solving complex problems at massive scale while your work directly enables every package Amazon delivers.

Your primary focus is building automation that makes our global wireless network self-sufficient and resilient. You'll analyze patterns across thousands of sites, develop workflows that resolve issues without human intervention, and validate new hardware before it reaches production environments.

Job requirements

  • 1+ years of automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell and/or Perl experience
  • 4+ years experience developing engineering, deployment, or operations mechanisms to support IP network and/or networking systems
  • 4+ years experience in a network focused hands-on technical role working with IP routing protocols/technologies and platforms in large scale enterprise wireless network environments
  • 4+ years of experience in network engineering, with deep expertise in wireless (802.11ac/ax/be) and wired (802.1X, RADIUS, DHCP, DNS) access technologies
  • Thorough understanding of TCP/IP networking, IP routing, Server Load Balancing, and Network Security architecture and core technologies such as IP, TCP, OSPF/IS-IS, BGP, MPLS, Server Load Balancers, Firewalls, ACLs,…
  • Experience with one or more of the following wireless access points/controllers, switches, routers, server load balancer, and firewall vendor platforms: Cisco, Juniper, Alcatel-Lucent, Arista, Brocade, Extreme, Citrix,…
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise wireless platforms (Cisco, Juniper MIST, or similar) including controller-based and cloud-managed architectures
  • Strong understanding of RF fundamentals, site survey methodologies, and wireless capacity planning
