Claude Duet is aimed at work, not errands
TechCrunch notes Anthropic is pitching Duet at professionals and small businesses, and says it is not good at errands or booking tickets.
Anthropic is drawing a line between Claude Duet and personal agents built for errands, TechCrunch reports. The company says Duet is not good at running errands or booking tickets, and it cannot show its browser use as it happens.
Instead it is pitched at professionals and small businesses: daily briefings, dashboards and suggested actions based on the user’s data, with tasks finished in the background on its own virtual machine. TechCrunch lists the field it enters as Meta Muse, OpenAI Dots, Hark, Instinct, Grok Bot and Fo. Duet can buy things through Stripe’s Link wallet or Shopify’s Shop Pay with approval, and by default it turns down requests for credit card numbers and government IDs.
