Muse passes 10 million users, and shopping is the top use

On Meta’s Q3 call, Zuckerberg said more than 10 million people in the US and Canada set up Muse in about six weeks, with a quarter using it daily.

More than 10 million people in the US and Canada have set up a Muse agent since its September 8 launch, Mark Zuckerberg said on Meta’s third-quarter earnings call, Yahoo Finance reported. About 25% of them use it on a given day, and early adopters stick with it better the longer they use it.

Shopping is the most common use, with more than a quarter of users buying through it and an average purchase above $200. Personal productivity and connecting services such as email and calendar come next.

Muse is expensive to run, and Meta wants to make it more than 10 times more compute-efficient over the next year. Zuckerberg said the company is building capacity to serve more than a billion people over the next few years. The plan is freemium: free for most people, fees paid by businesses on transactions Muse helps complete, and a subscription for the most advanced models or extra usage.
