At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), XPENG unveiled its innovative Aero eVTOL, a modular flying car designed for urban transportation. The aircraft can be stored in the trunk of an electric minivan, referred to as the “mothership,” and allows for seamless transition between ground and air travel.
Co-founder and Vice President Wang Tan demonstrated how simple it is to fly the Aero eVTOL, using only their thumb to take off or land. Although a light sport pilot’s license is required, the mechanics are designed to be straightforward and user-friendly, with autonomous flying capabilities enhancing safety and ease of use.
XPENG has already received over 3,000 intent orders and is actively seeking regulatory approval in China, with plans to begin mass production in 2026. The Aero HT’s design is striking and futuristic, capturing attention as a key player in the evolving landscape of transportation technology.
