As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience through various projects. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your skills by supporting ABB’s operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities. The work model for the role is onsite in New Berlin, Wisconsin.

Please note that no relocation assistance or stipend will be offered for this position.

Job responsibilities

Assist with the deployment and integration of automation and robotic systems across the facility.
Support Automation Engineers in configuring and troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and SCADA systems.
Install and commission field devices such as vision systems, pick‑to‑light technology, and various industrial sensors.
Effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Data Science, Machine Learning, or another relevant field in the United States.
Intern must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
Utilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions.
