EHS Specialist

Job description

We are seeking an ambitious and collaborative Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist to support our fast-growing operations across Mission Services covering Vessel Testing, Depot Repairs, Field Services, Fulfilment, and Distribution. This role will primarily support operations on the U.S. East Coast (Virginia) and the Europe, Middle East, Asia (EMEA) region, with a focus on the United Kingdom (UK).

This position provides a unique opportunity to partner with multiple operational teams responsible for testing and servicing autonomous surface vessels across geographically diverse and highly regulated environments.

Job responsibilities

  • Environmental Support environmental compliance programs, including but limited to:
  • Air permits and emissions compliance
  • Hazardous and industrial waste management
  • Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) and equivalent Australian stormwater requirements
  • Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) plans and inspections
  • Hazardous materials / Dangerous Goods management
  • Coordinate with local site teams and external consultants to ensure compliance with relevant environmental authorities
  • Assist with environmental reporting, inspections, and recordkeeping across regions Health and Safety

Job requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, engineering, public health, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., ASP, CSP, CIH, CHMM) preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in EHS, preferably in maritime, aerospace, defense, or general manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Experience supporting multi-region EHS programs, particularly in the U.S. East Coast, Virginia, the U.K., and EMEA.
  • Working knowledge of the following in the Americas and EMEA:
  • Maritime safety
  • Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations
  • Experience in maritime or vessel operations strongly preferred
  • Proven track record of implementing EHS programs across geographically distributed teams
