Logistics Specialist

Job description

Job requirements

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, or inventory control, ideally in a hardware, electronics, manufacturing, or engineering lab setting.
  • Technical Aptitude: Comfortable working with Inventory ERP systems, barcoding software, and shipping platforms (FedEx ShipManager, UPS CampusShip, FreightWise).
  • Generally, 4 or more years of related experience in logistics or supply chain functions. Ideally a first level university degree or equivalent experience.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk across a large sq. ft. footprint throughout the day, and operate material handling equipment.
  • Strong understanding of logistics and procurement processes.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and experience managing a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to share data and information via documents, spreadsheets, and other tools.
  • Knowledge of and experience with MRP systems.
