Propulsion Hardware Engineer, Prime Air Drone Fleet & Production

Prime Air is seeking an experienced Battery/BMS engineer to aid the development and scaling of the Production and Field Operations of the electrical propulsion system of Prime Air Drones. This role will require you to dive deep into root cause analysis, troubleshoot in a lab environment, develop mitigations, and drive future solutions for the Battery and the operations regarding it.

Key job responsibilities - Troubleshooting with hardware/software interfaces

- Root cause analysis on hardware failures across the electrical propulsion subsystem

Job requirements

  • 4+ years of working in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience
  • Experience in 3D CAD
  • Experience using common electronics test equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, function generators, etc)
  • Knowledge of Battery Design, Maintenance and Charging logic
  • Experience in root cause analysis and troubleshooting or problem solving
  • 3+ Years of Experience with Battery Design, Management and Charging
