Job description
As a Software Developer for Robotics at Mujin , you will design and implement cutting-edge algorithms for real-time motion planning, perception , and control of industrial robots and grippers. You will develop cutting-edge robotics technology, including the design, implementation, and testing of algorithms that run on numerous robots in real time. You will test and deploy your work in simulation and the real world on various off-the-shelf and in-house robotics hardware.
Within that scope, you will specialize in gripper technology, where robotics stops being simulation and starts being physics: vacuum and airflow, seal quality, load balance, and hardware that wears.
Job requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science , Robotics, Physics or a related field.
- Experience with Linux development environments and programming in C++ and python .
- Expertise in 3D motion planning and robot kinematics.
- Solid understanding of math and physics fundamentals related to robotics manipulation and gripper control.
- Familiarity with industrial robot arms (Fanuc, Yaskawa, ABB).
- 2+ years of experience using Python and C++ for high-performance applications .
- Expertise in robotic motion planning, grasp planning, and gripper control.
- Experience with fluid mechanics and pneumatics, including vacuum generation and manifold pressure dynamics.
