Teleoperation Engineer
Job description
We are looking for a Teleoperation Engineer to sit at the intersection of our operations and engineering teams. In this role, you will train and manage the quality of a team of teleoperation operators, establish and maintain data collection standards, and act as the critical bridge between project management and the technical teams developing our teleoperation and policy systems. You will maintain direct teleoperation proficiency and translate operational insight into actionable engineering feedback, and vice versa. This role starts hands on and grows in scope and ownership as we scale.
Job requirements
- 2+ years of professional experience in training, QA, or a technical environment
- Completed or in progress technical degree highly preferred (Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, etc)
- Exposure to teleoperation or VR based gaming and control systems is a big plus
- Background in a structured, process oriented, or fast paced operational setting
- Strong communication and documentation skills with the ability to convey technical concepts across technical and non technical audiences
- Proven ability to assess quality rigorously and coach others toward consistency
- Comfortable working with digital tools, interfaces, and data driven workflows
- Basic technical understanding sufficient to engage productively with engineering teams
