Mechanical Engineer Intern
Job Description:

We are looking for a Summer Mechanical Engineering intern to design, test, and implement key hardware components for our humanoid.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Design parts in 3D CAD that satisfy load conditions, industrial design form factor, and durability requirements.
  • Design and build test stands. Support the mechanical engineering and systems integration teams with hands-on testing.
  • Create technical drawings adhering to GD&T standards to ensure accurate fits between tightly toleranced parts.
  • Build new designs and test their performance against our internal designs and industry benchmarks.
Job Requirements:
  • Must submit a portfolio or website of relevant projects you have worked on and your role.
  • Pursuing a mechanical engineering, robotics, or equivalent undergraduate degree having completed at least two years of your degree by the start of the internship
  • Any 3D CAD software experience
  • Experience designing and building prototypes
  • Ability to write and maintain clean documentation for your design process.
  • Passion for robotics
Bonus Qualifications:
  • CATIA V6 Experience
  • Basic understanding of controls, electrical engineering or embedded software
  • Basic programming ability
  • Familiar with electric motors and gearboxes
  • Familiar with simulation and analysis, such as FEA or Matlab
