We are looking for a Summer Mechanical Engineering intern to design, test, and implement key hardware components for our humanoid.
Job Responsibilities:
Design parts in 3D CAD that satisfy load conditions, industrial design form factor, and durability requirements.
Design and build test stands. Support the mechanical engineering and systems integration teams with hands-on testing.
Create technical drawings adhering to GD&T standards to ensure accurate fits between tightly toleranced parts.
Build new designs and test their performance against our internal designs and industry benchmarks.
Job Requirements:
Must submit a portfolio or website of relevant projects you have worked on and your role.
Pursuing a mechanical engineering, robotics, or equivalent undergraduate degree having completed at least two years of your degree by the start of the internship
Any 3D CAD software experience
Experience designing and building prototypes
Ability to write and maintain clean documentation for your design process.
Passion for robotics
Bonus Qualifications:
CATIA V6 Experience
Basic understanding of controls, electrical engineering or embedded software
Basic programming ability
Familiar with electric motors and gearboxes
Familiar with simulation and analysis, such as FEA or Matlab
