The Humanoid Robot as a Service (HRaaS) Model is Approaching

The recent pre-order launch of 1x’s NEO humanoid demonstrates a new level of dexterity for androids in home environments. This type of tele-operated robotics provide the foundation for a new service model, that we are calling (HRaas) Humanoid Robot as a Service, hiring a human to operate a robot in your home remotely.

The concept would function on a split-screen reality. On one side, a human operator works from a control station. On the other, a humanoid robot performs a physical task in a client’s residence. The human provides skill and decision-making, the robot provides the physical labor.

This model creates a marketplace for remote labor. An app, functioning like Uber for skilled tasks, would connect users with operators.

Let’s pretend and call the app “Bots n’ Beans”

How the Service Could Work:

    1. Browse & Select: Open the app. Select a person. Scroll through profiles of certified chefs, complete with their bios, specialties, and video reels. You can filter by cuisine (Italian Sous Chef, Vegan Pastry Expert), price point, and availability.

    2. See Reviews & Ratings: Just like with Uber, every chef is rated on a 5-star system.

    3. Book the Experience: Choose a date and time, submit your dietary restrictions and menu preferences, and the chef accepts the “gig.” The app handles payment, and provides a secure digital key for the robot to access your home at the appointed time (or you can let it in manually).

    4. The Work Begins: At the scheduled time, a robot from a local service provider hub arrives at your door. Your hired chef logs in from their location, and for the next two hours, their expertise is manifested in your kitchen. They cook, plate, and even leave you with detailed reheating instructions.

Hmmm.. Sounds like something we may be cooking up at Bots n’ Beans.

The model isn’t limited to cooking. The same platform could allow you to hire a master carpenter for a furniture repair, a celebrity stylist to organize your closet, or a renowned gardener to design your backyard, all performed remotely through a capable humanoid body.

Of course, this type of business faces immediate questions. Privacy protocols, data security for in-home video feeds, and liability for accidents require clear solutions. The technology, however, is now available to build this marketplace and the service is technically feasible.
