The Hardware Department is at the heart of developing our high-performance and innovative robots. It’s in charge of designing, constructing, and optimizing the robot’s physical components, including mechanical parts, sensors, and electrical systems. The team collaborates closely with other departments, like software development and product management, to ensure that the hardware aligns seamlessly with software and system requirements. This involves tasks like mechanical design and prototyping of components, using CAD tools and 3D printing technologies.

Job Responsibilities:

Your mission & challenges 

You are responsible for transferring innovative designs from the prototype phase to mass production. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless and efficient production process.

Your tasks include:

  • Developing and refining prototypes according to design specifications.​
  • Collaborating with manufacturing teams to scale prototypes into production-ready designs.​
  • Optimizing designs for assembly and providing precise documentation.​
  • Conducting tests and quality assurance to ensure product reliability.​
  • Precise and detailed creation of documentation (production, drawings, bills of materials, manufacturing files, etc…).
Job Requirements:

What we can look forward to 

  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with design teams and production engineers.​
  • Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, preferred EPlan (cabling) and Altium (electronics).
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and techniques.​
  • Ability to analyze and restructure manufacturing data.​
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.​
  • Problem-solving skills for production transitions.​
  • Project management skills for efficient execution of production preparations.​
  • Experience in conducting failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA).​
  • Proven experience in product development from conception to production.​
  • You have a perfect command of the English language and, best of all, speak German well.
