Principal, Technical Business Developer, Capital Equipment and Strategic Sourcing

Job description

As a Principal Technical Business Developer, you will serve as the senior individual contributor and subject matter expert for capital equipment sourcing, contract negotiations, and supplier management. You will own the end-to-end procurement lifecycle — from supplier identification and RFQ execution through contract award and delivery — for high-value equipment, automation systems, tooling, and more.

Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, you will be the technical procurement authority for the organization. You will partner closely with partner teams across the organization to ensure material readiness and targets are met as the project progresses.

Job requirements

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field
12+ years of experience in supply chain management, strategic sourcing, or procurement in an industrial automation, or similar technical environment
Experience managing CAPEX procurement programs and vendor portfolios for complex environments, including equipment, automation, and tooling
Experience leading contract negotiations with OEMs, equipment manufacturers, or construction contractors for agreements of significant value
Experience developing sourcing strategies, procurement frameworks, or standard operating procedures that have been adopted across an organization
Technical background or demonstrated experience in automation or new product introduction
MBA or advanced degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business
Experience in automation, semiconductors, high-tech, or similar industries
