Senior EOL Test Engineer, Quality

Job description

Work on-site at our partner facility in Livonia, MI
Work hands on with Aurora’s self driving trucks
Design, develop and implement test plans for verifying and validating hardware operation of complex systems
Deploy scripts/software to test systems, analyze data, and create test reports
Troubleshoot and debug a variety of system and component level failures Perform general root cause analysis, characterize defects, provide detailed descriptions of failures and recommended corrective actions
Use a diverse set of applications and tools, including but not limited to: OEM provided diagnostic SW tools such as Cummins Insite
Measurement instrumentation such as DMM, Picoscope, Linux and Windows based CAN tools
Custom test harnesses, tools and fixtures

BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field
3+ years of experience in quality, autonomous vehicle manufacturing, electro-mechanical assembly operations, robotics or equivalent field experience
Strong understanding of embedded software concept
Experience with programming and scripting (C++, Python or equivalent).
Experience with testing and characterizing communication protocols such as TCP/UDP, CAN, LIN, I2C, SPI, and UART
Ability to interpret complex system architecture, electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
Experience working in a Linux environment
Experience with Github
