Job description

Join us in building intelligent robotic systems that perceive, learn, and act in the real world. You'll develop the computer vision, machine learning, and control systems that power our first-of-its-kind robotic workcells, working across prototypes in the lab and deployed systems at scale.

As a Software Engineer on the Vulcan team, you'll work on end-to-end robotic systems that combine hardware and software innovation. Your day might include designing and implementing computer vision algorithms for object detection, developing machine learning models for robotic decision-making, or optimizing motion planning systems for real-world deployment.

Job requirements

  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
  • 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
  • Experience building complex software systems, especially involving deep learning, machine learning and computer vision, that have been successfully delivered to customers
  • Experience building computer vision systems, ML and AI models, robotic control and motion planning, and process management.

  • 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
