SkillBridge - Field Service Representative
Job description
About the role This SkillBridge internship offers hands-on experience as a Field Service Representative (FSR) at Forterra. FSRs provide direct technical support to Forterra's customers, monitoring equipment readiness, delivering diagnostics and repairs, and conducting product trainings that keep systems mission-ready in the field. Reporting to the Director of Customer Success, SkillBridge FSR interns will work alongside experienced Forterra field service personnel to build hands-on technical, communication, and customer-relationship skills that support a successful transition into a technical field role.
Job requirements
- Must be eligible for a SkillBridge program opportunity (skillbridge.osd.mil).
- Hands-on experience diagnosing, maintaining, repairing, or troubleshooting mechanical and/or electronic equipment (e.g., through military technical, maintenance, or systems roles).
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Strong documentation habits and attention to accuracy.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to building professional relationships with customers and teammates.
- Ability to travel up to 75%, including internationally.
