The Amazon Robotics Autonomous Mobility team develops software that powers Proteus, Amazon Robotics’ first fully-autonomous mobile warehouse robot. We are growing and seek a talented, enthusiastic, and motivated SDM to head our Autonomous Routing and Coordination (ARC) team in North Reading, MA. You will lead a team of top-notch scientists and engineers developing state-of-the-art software and algorithms for multi-robot route planning and coordination. The systems you build will enable fleets of 1000s of AMRs to safely, reliably and efficiently navigate through dynamic environments in the presence of humans and other vehicles.

Job requirements

3+ years of engineering team management experience
7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience
Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing,…
Experience partnering with product or program management teams
Theoretical knowledge and practical experience in autonomous navigation or related scientific domain
7+ years of robotics system components and controls experience
Experience in investigating, designing, prototyping, and delivering new and innovative system solutions
Experience with software development in a team, and a track record of shipping software on time
