The Subcontracts Administrator IV is a senior-level professional responsible for managing complex subcontracting and procurement activities in support of government and commercial programs. This role provides strategic and operational support throughout the full subcontract life cycle, including solicitation, negotiation, award, administration, compliance, and closeout activities. Job responsibilities
- Lead cradle-to-grave subcontract administration activities, including preparation, issuance, evaluation, negotiation, award, administration, and closeout of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and subcontract agreements.
- Ensure subcontractor compliance with contractual requirements, delivery schedules, quality standards, and cost objectives.
- Administer and maintain subcontract files and procurement documentation in accordance with company policies, customer requirements, and applicable government regulations.
- Monitor subcontract performance and support risk mitigation efforts by proactively identifying and resolving subcontract-related issues.
- Coordinate with Program Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Quality, and Legal teams to support program objectives and subcontract execution.
- Review and reconcile subcontractor invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with subcontract terms and funding requirements.
- Support and participate in subcontract negotiations, including pricing, terms and conditions, statements of work, and compliance requirements.
- Prepare and present subcontract status reports, metrics, analyses, and management briefings to support business and program decision-making.
Job requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 10+ years of relevant experience in procurement, subcontracts, or supply chain management
- Experience with Cost Plus Award Fee
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of procurement and government contracting principles (FAR/DFARS).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
