Unitree Robotics is showcasing its affordable robots, the G1 humanoid and the Go2 robot dog, at CES 2025. The G1 features full open-source dance movement data, reminiscent of Boston Dynamics’ viral videos. The Go2, which resembles Boston Dynamics’ Spot robot, is designed for inspection and rescue, capable of transporting supplies and enabling communication with trapped individuals. Priced at $1,600, the Go2 offers a budget-friendly alternative to Spot, which costs $74,500.
The G1, priced at $16,000, can perform various household tasks and is equipped with advanced features like 3D LiDAR, depth camera, and voice recognition. Standing at 4.3 feet and weighing 77 lbs, it has 23 degrees of freedom and a maximum walking speed of 4.4 mph.
With its low-cost offerings, Unitree positions itself as a viable choice for homeowners, highlighting a growing trend towards accessible robotics. While other companies, including Tesla, are also entering the market, Unitree’s robots present an appealing option for practical household assistance.
